Wedding & Anniversary Film Photography

I first met Rochelle and Frederick at their home in Kansas. I must admit I was a little nervous because this was only my second booking of the season. Rochelle welcomed me with the biggest smile. We sat down and talked about the details of her engagement and wedding and they were all very simple and mostly about love for Frederick and their family.
This engagement session was located at the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens. Rochelle and Frederick chose to have a more casual style shoot and we doubled for half engagement session and half family session because they have two of the cutest boys I’ve ever seen!!!
The gardens were blooming with all kinds of flowers and their boys were curious about them all. Which made for some excellent candids as mom and dad explained what each flower was. We couldn’t have been happier with how the images came out because they just felt real. You could see how happy they were to hold each other and just be with each other.
Eight years have passed since Rochelle and Frederick first met through a close friend. Frederick proposed one year ago on Rochelle’s birthday and used their sons to help him. As one son helped Rochelle blow out candles, the other son was down on one knee helping Frederick with his proposal! The wedding is set for August 20, 2016 at St. Peter’s Church.
