Lydia came to our home office for a consultation and surprisingly both of our men were late to the meeting.  Jordan and John were both stuck in KC traffic. Lydia and I talked about her wedding day details until Jordan showed up. She was super shy at first, but she was oh so organized, which we LOVED!!! When Jordan came into our space Lydia’s face lit up so bright. It was the sweetest thing ever. We finished up our meeting with them and later we settled on a date and destination for the engagement session.

In the Crossroads district of Kansas City was were we met for the first part of the engagement session. Lydia showed up with Jordan and they were both dressed so cute. Lydia had her hair and makeup trial with one of our favorite vendors, GLAM BY GRACE. We got a chance to walk and talk about their wedding plans and we took that time to get to know our couple.  Lydia had a few spots left that she loved in this area, so we finished up in the Crossroads and headed over to Loose Park for the second part of the session.

Loose Park during this time of year is very popular for all types of portrait sessions. We passed by families, engagement sessions, and a few other sessions going on in the there. The Rose Garden at the end of May did not disappoint! Next, we headed down to the other side of the park to hang out in the open fields and also to spend some time on the bridge.

We finished the engagement session with some running play and some time for Lydia and Jordan to just enjoy each other. John and I love to photograph couples in their natural element. Maybe its laughing or just talking, these images are our MOST favorite! We do love the posed shots as well….As my mentor photographer, Abby Grace, would say-“This one’s for Mom.”

We can’t wait to see these two in October for their wedding! Check out our website to see their wedding and others that we have already posted over on Lininger Rood Photo.
