A few years ago I met the owner of Savvy Bridal, Imene McCoy. Since then the two of us have become close friends and we have dreamed up so many ideas together. This woman has the most amazing business mind and can turn anything into gold. So when it was time to put this Savvy Bridal styled shoot together we knew it had to be amazing.

One thing we knew we wanted to do was capture these images on film. So all of the ones you will see today were taken with my Pentax 645. We Went to the ruins over by Longview Mansion for this shoot and while everything was dead, I still think the images came out stunning! I always get a little nervous about shooting at places I am not too familiar with because I always feel like someone is going to come and kick us out. Thankfully we didn’t have that problem.

One thing I was most excited about was that our model only wears her hair curly, so when we posted sneaks of this shoot many people were commenting that they loved her hair. Which I was a total fan of because I have curly hair too!

We brought along our florist and the manager of Savvy bridal. We also did some behind the scenes videos on Instagram which came out really fun! This year, John and I won’t be doing many styled shoots. We want our couples to see real weddings and we don’t want them to feel anxiety over this seemingly perfect wedding. Styled shoots are fun to dream up, put together and shoot!
