The Spring season has only been around the Kansas City area for about two weeks now. We had such a late start to the warmer weather. One thing you want to make sure that you have for your engagement session is sun or bloomed trees or possibly both if you can help it. I have been waiting to photograph all of my couples this season until now because it has been so cold and so gloomy out. Amanda and Adam met us at Loose Park for their engagement session and we were met by swarms of prom goers and their parents. It took us a while to navigate through the crowds but I think the we got a better chance to get to know each other because of the madness.

Amanda and Adam met in college and have been dating for four years. They are the funniest couple we’ve met in such a long time. Adam did all the work in this session because he kept such a genuine smile on Amanda’s face. Thanks Adam, for making my job so easy! After we fought the crowds of Loose Park we ended our session at the Berkley Riverfront. The Riverfront was so peaceful and no where near as crowded as the park. This was a perfect place to end the session.

To all the brides out there, I would love to give you some advice about outfits, hair and makeup. Amanda asked us for advice on how to dress for her session, which we loved. You want to feel comfortable and get yourself a new dress. Gentlemen, you’ll want to go out and get yourself a nice pair of pants and button down. Now, if you have these in your closet…bust those babies out! Amanda also used her hair and makeup trial on her engagement session. Which is so smart because you can kill two birds with one stone! The first plus is you get a fresh new look and two if there are any questions or concerns you have about your hair and makeup you can address them prior to the big day!
