Welcome back to another blog session! I am excited to show you this beautiful soiree in Shawnee, Kansas. Jessica and Josh’s wedding was held at Simply Unique event Space. This space is so beautiful and modern. What stood out most to John and I was the service that the staff provides. Jessica and Josh sure did an amazing job choosing this venue to have their wedding ceremony and reception.

Fall weddings can be difficult because of the weather. When I arrived to start the day with Jessica it was sunny and warm. A few hours later it was a little cooler and it had begun to rain just a bit. We were almost in a panic because the pair was having an outdoor first look. I kept reassuring Jessica that everything was going to be great.

While Jessica was having her hair and makeup done, her younger sister decided to practice the song she was going to sing at her sister’s ceremony. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, including mine. Jessica’s family was so sweet helping with everything they could. Which wasn’t a lot because Jessica was no fuss at all.

When everyone was dressed, it was time to head off to the location of the first look. I sent John ahead to meet Josh to make sure he was in place so he wouldn’t see his bride. It was raining a little, but itĀ held off for them when it was time for them to see each other and I couldn’t have been more grateful! Jessica had the best reaction when she saw Josh turn around. Her eyes lit up and she was full of smiles. I think Josh was a little nervous but was overwhelmed at the sight of her, which of course you all know…I LOVED!

We took a few minutes for family formals in the park and then headed over to Simply Unique to set up for the ceremony. We hid Jessica off in the bridal suite and her soon to be daughters were in there with her. The youngest was glued to her hip. I am a step mom too and my youngest is glued to me all the time, so seeing this was incredible. You could tell both girls were excited to be gaining Jessica as their mom!

The ceremony was beautiful of course and Jessica’s baby sister sang her heart out, again with no dry eye in the room.

During the toasts Jessica’s dad gave one of the funniest speeches I have ever heard and had the entire crowd dying with laughter.

Jessica and Josh we have loved every second we’ve gotten to spend getting to know you and we wish you a lifetime of happiness.

Don’t forget to check back next week for more on the blog right HERE!
