Miriah and I are currently serving together in the Army and she was literally the first friend I met in my new unit in Tennessee. She was the friendly sweet faced Captain that spent her days commanding a company of half deployed Soldiers and half of her Soldiers were here working daily jobs. Totally not an easy thing to do, but she did it very well! Miriah and her husband have been separated since they started dating, I believe one of their first dates was in Italy at his unit formal. However this pair went to the same high school and college but never really got to know each other. Between mutual friends and a mutual attraction the rest is history!

Of course fate took over and these two were married and ready to start a family. When Miriah got pregnant there was no question for me to photograph her maternity session. I was thrilled that she asked and so happy to have a chance to photograph such a wonderful couple and friend. These photographs will forever have such a special place in my heart as we wait for the arrival of their sweet baby boy in just a few short days.
