August 10th had finally arrived, which meant it was Rachael and Drake’s wedding day! John and I had a pretty cloudy wedding season to start so I was praying that it wouldn’t rain. When we jumped in the car it was beautiful outside, but if you knew Rachael, then you know her wedding day wouldn’t be anything short of perfection. If you missed their engagement session check it out HERE. When I arrived at the Pavilion Event Space, there were so many people buzzing around. The event staff, Rachael’s bridesmaids and family were decorating and laughing, which always makes me feel so at ease on the wedding day. I finally saw Rachael and she greeted me with a hug and a sweet little smile. She walked me over to meet her bridal party and her mom. I totally loved all of these ladies and her mom is definitely on our list of favorite moms EVER!

The entire day was so much fun and it was a true honor to be able to photograph such an event. John and I talked about this wedding for days after because the one thing we noticed was just how much these two loved each other. From the way they looked at one another, to how careful Drake was whenever Rachael was near, it was all just a beautiful dream! Our favorite part of the day was their sunset session. My biggest advice to all brides is to make time on the wedding day for pictures with your new spouse. You will not regret it and it is a THOUSAND times worth it!

Rachael and Drake- Congratulations you two, we can’t wait to follow your journey as husband and wife.
