Wedding & Anniversary Film Photography

The Old St. Patrick Oratory is one of the oldest Catholic churches in Kansas City. Upon walking into the church, we had no idea how beautiful this wedding would be. The Parish had traditions that stemmed from the very beginning of its construction. There was a dress code that I found to be breathtaking. I had never seen traditions like this in the states and plan to attend a Mass myself in the near future.

Abby decided on a first look with her bridesmaids and her father, but waited to see Christian when she walked down the aisle. When Abby finally made it to Christian, both of their mother’s placed a lasso rosary over them to symbolize Christian’s Mexican heritage. The Mass was preformed entirely in Latin and lasted a little over one hour. When the Mass was complete, the guests lined the church doors and stairway for a bubble send off for the newlyweds.

We all jumped on the trolly and ventured over to the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art. Minutes after we arrived a storm passed through bringing high winds, heavy rain and hail! We rushed the bridal party back on the trolly and the Videographer, my second and I got stuck in the storm. It lasted around 10 minutes before we headed over to the venue.

To end the night, the couple danced the sunset away in the most beautiful grassy field. Abby and Christian, thank you for allowing us to capture your wedding day. We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
