I posted a story on Thursday evening about my engagement to a gorgeous man named Terell. There was such an overwhelming response to this so I decided to blog about it.
What most of you didn’t know was that in the Summer 2019 John and I decided to get divorced. While that decision was not an easy one, it was a much needed choice for our relationship. The great thing about that situation is John and I continue to be good friends to this day and we will continue to always be.
Roughly 6 months later I was depressed, moved to a new city, and all in time for the entire world to shut down. The timing was perfect if I do say so myself, but I wasn’t alone as I had some of my best girlfriends surrounding me with hugs and friendship. Terell and I met in the midst of all of those things, while going thru his own loss of a great friend from a freak motorcycle accident. Of course the cliche thing to say here is we started out as friends blah blah and the rest is history. LOL…It has been a world wind of a year and a half but it was all so amazing. Terell and I have traveled so much, talked a lot, met each others family and so much more. The best thing to say here is that we have such a strong relationship and most importantly a great love for one another. I can’t lie and say I don’t feel like the Duchess of Sussex with one look from this guy (insert heart eyes).
Together we traveled to my favorite state of Colorado for our engagement session and of course we were photographed by my dear friend Amanda Berube Photography, if you are in Colorado you don’t want to miss her if you need photos of any kind.
The one thing I want people to know and to understand is that divorce is not all that bad. It was certainly not something I had ever imagined but the healing process is what lead me to where I am today!
