Sam + Cody were married at The Bride and the Bauer just a few weeks ago and this served as my last booked wedding in the Kansas City area. As sad as I was leading up to the day, I was also very excited to be able to see these two finally tie the knot.
The wedding day was very rainy and for a September day, it was pretty chilly. Nonetheless, the entire day was still so much fun. It reminded me of their engagement session. – P.S. I am still mortified that we lost their dog for a few minutes during the engagement session (Don’t remember the engagement session? Click HERE).
The clouds broke for sun right as these two were saying their vows. Can we talk about the vows? They had me in ALL THE FEELS! I laughed and cried during both of them. The way that Juniper, their dog, looked at Sam when she stood in front of Cody was the cutest thing ever!
Once the official parts of the wedding were complete, the party was on! Sam and Cody’s friends danced the ENTIRE night away. I don’t ever think I saw the dance floor empty, no matter what the song was. The highlight of the night was Lizzo’s Summer hit “Truth Hurts”…I had never seen so many people dancing and singing to a single song, it was incredible and so funny!
Sam and Cody, thank you so much for allowing us to capture your beautiful wedding day. Your wedding was the best way for me to end my season and to close my wedding season here in Kansas City before I move to Nashville! We wish you a lifetime of happiness!
